Teaching and Lecturing

Twenty minute lecture and Power Point presentation to students and faculty at UCCA about the meaning and methods of my work.

St. John's Infants, Chatham.
Helping children aged 4- 7 years with their art and crafts for two hours a week.

2004
'Creepy Creations' – a full day children's art workshop for the Medway Council.

2003
'Animal Antics', 'Passion for Fashion' and 'Wizards and Witches'. Full day children's art workshops for the Medway Council.

A children's workshop for the opening of the Sunlight Centre, Gillingham. The collaborative work produced on the day is now on permanent display at the centre.

2002 - 2003
'Artaround', Strood Library, Kent. Organised by Medway Council.
Lead weekly groups of 8 to 12 year-olds in art and craft techniques with up to 12 students at a time and helped the children with their art and play, bringing new ideas to their creativity.

Exhibition and Demonstration, Lower Halstow Primary School.

1997
Fulston Manor High School, Sittingbourne, Kent.
I taught nine classes of thirteen year old, textile students about my work, discussing my inspiration, processes and techniques. This involved giving a 20 minute talk, advising the students about their work and some short practical demonstrations.

Curation and Organisation

I curated the exhibitions 'Christmas Show' and 'Collected Medway', both at the Brook Theatre, Chatham, Kent and Open Studio Christmas show in Gillingham, Kent.

These shows involved liaising with artists and gallery mangers, choosing the work to be displayed, hanging & dismantling the exhibitions, writing display texts, creating displays in cabinets, designing posters/invites, mailings and marketing/promotions.

I worked in the fine art framing department of Francis Iles Galleries, Rochester where I qualified as a Guild Commended Framer.
