Current concepts, ideas and themes
Dave Evershed works mainly in photographic media using the images that
he samples from everyday life. His work both appropriates from and refers
to the world we live in. He strives to find the essence of things and
to make connections between them. His work establishes threads of kinship
between us by identifying shared memories and experiences.

Influences and aims
David’s work reflects his changing pre-occupations with the minutiae
of life. His fascination is with everyday experiences that go un-remarked
by the majority. There is also a religious undercurrent in much of his
work that comes from somewhere that he feels he has yet to discover.
