The projection of a running machine entitled Loop
is intended to be an interactive piece whereby people are invited to
become the 'participant' of an immersive environment. It is also hoped
that the 'participant' will realise the meditative aspect of the work.
The projection of a running machine is in response
to the repetitiveness of everyday life and the frustrations that are
linked to that.
Artist Statement
When I reflect of my work I think of it as being in
response to different observations and lived experiences like a philosophical
quest rather than purely an aesthetic activity. After I have made a
piece of work I like to move onto the next. The journey is never ending
like a treadmill running on and on or like an infinite spiral never
reaching the centre. Works consist of installations, text, film and
visual images. Ongoing interests/issues are language, social behaviour
and boundaries.
