Marcie Down's recent work captures an alternative space which is inhabited by the imagination.

The subject of the diptych is set in parallel white spaces of a laboratory and a gallery. There, the artist playfully explores notions of perceived cross currents between art and science. The aim is to play the two fields againsts the boundaries which define them, and ultimately invite the viewer to decide what context of relation might exist between the two.
